Managing emotions is an integral part of everyone’s life. We all feel positive and negative emotions at different times. Feeling negative emotions can be a natural and appropriate response to what is happening in our lives. However, sometimes we may experience becoming stuck in these emotions. This can be a very difficult place to find ourselves in. During these periods it can be really helpful to have yourself a safe and confidential space to work through these thoughts and feelings in a setting where you will not be judged.
What is counselling?
Counselling can help with all sorts of different issues. It can help with positive events such as choosing a direction in life or reaching your full potential. Perhaps you are feeling a ‘bit stuck’ and would value the viewpoint of a counsellor. There may be things from your past that you would like to tackle or there may be things in the present that you want to try and change. Perhaps you are experiencing significant events in your life such as getting married and starting a family, leaving home for the first time or coming to terms with the death of a loved one.
Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Through counselling and treatment, we can work together to help you recover motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life.
Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with loss and grief. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger post the loss of a job, relationship or the passing of a loved one. Together, we can work through these symptoms and help you move through the process of grieving.
Self-esteem is how we value and perceive ourselves. It's based on our opinions and beliefs about ourselves, which can sometimes feel really difficult to change. We can work together to build upon feelings of low self worth to work towards building the life you deserve.
